| 10/30/2003 NSF Centers for Learning and Teaching Centers provide an environment that combines research, teacher education, and education practice. Each must address the following 1) renewing and diversifying the pool of educators; 2) enhancing the content of knowledge and the skills of future of elementary and secondary teachers; 3) supporting research into educational issues of national import. Proposals must involve partnerships of organizations with a scientific, engineering and/or educational mission. Preliminary proposals are due Dec. 2 and full proposals are due Feb. 20.
