The FASS Job Resource Center, a common service of ADSA, ASAS, PSA, and IETS, was created to promote the efficient linking of open positions with scientists, in support of the tax exempt mission of each of the participating societies, to serve and advance the field of animal science, and ensure its efficient operation. Members are provided with the opportunity to notify the scientific community of openings online for a reasonable fee; no additional charges for publication in one or all of the monthly journals are assessed. Nonmembers may also post position announcements (online or in print) according to a separate fee schedule. This site is linked to all four society home pages. Some FASS client member societies, such as the American Meat Science Association and the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists, also encourage visitors to use this FASS service by pointing to the site from their home pages. The site serves as the only means of submission of position announcement material for any of the journals produced at FASS.

Position vacancies may be posted for online viewing or can be made available for publication in the following journals:

Journal of Dairy Science®
Journal of Animal Science
Poultry Science®

The cost for posting a position opening is $150 for anyone that is a member of: ASAS, ADSA, PSA, or IETS. This fee includes online and printed announcements in JAS, JDS, and PS. Nonmembers may post an announcement online for $250 and have the option of having their announcement appear in one or more journals, if desired, for an additional fee of $50 per journal.. For inclusion in a journal(s), announcements must be submitted on the 25th day of the month two months prior to the date of issue (e.g., materials submitted from May 26 through June 25 will be published in the August issues of the journals). Placement of announcements in a particular issue, according to the submission cut-off date, is without exception to maintain the timeliness of the journals.

All position announcements must be paid for online using a credit card before the submission will be accepted.
