The Department of Animal Science, University of Minnesota invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor) in beef cow/calf management. The appointment responsibilities will be research (60%) and extension (40%). The appointee will develop and lead a nationally recognized, externally funded, translational research program in beef cow/calf management and will address issues relevant to the beef industry within and outside Minnesota from its NCROC, Grand Rapids location. Advising graduate students and participation in the Animal Science graduate program is expected. The successful candidate will provide state-wide leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of innovative extension education programs on beef cow-calf management systems and will be a key leader within the U of M’s Beef Team. Cooperative, interdisciplinary extension programs and research with university faculty outside of Minnesota and industry cooperators will be encouraged.
