Assistant/Associate Professor of Animal Science with emphasis in Beef Production. A 9 month tenure track position in the Department of Agriculture at Missouri State University. A PhD in Animal Science (or closely related field) or a DVM with demonstrated experience in research is required. The successful candidate must possess good written and oral communication skills and a desire to develop a strong undergraduate teaching program in beef production and a willingness to deliver courses by alternative methods (i.e., Interactive Television or Internet). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the management of commercial beef operations. Expectations include the development of a teaching and research program in Applied Beef Production with emphasis in forage based management systems. Teaching responsibilities will include Introductory Animal Science, Beef Production, Applied Animal Breeding and other courses in Animal Science depending on the expertise of the candidate.
