Morehead State University, recognized as one of the top public universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, is accepting applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Agribusiness in the Department of Agricultural Sciences. Responsibilities: Course load will be 12 hours per semester including courses such as Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Records, Farm Management, Agricultural Finance, Agricultural Policy, Farm Business Analysis, Land Economics, Quantitative Methods, and other Agribusiness courses; developing new courses needed in the agribusiness field, advising students in the agribusiness field; producing scholarly work in research, publications, and grant writing; and participating in university and community service. The establishment of a positive rapport with regional agribusinesses is essential. Qualifications: Doctorate in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or closely related field is required. ABD’s with imminent completion may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in utilizing multimedia, website, and distance education technology, and successful relationships in the agribusiness sector. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated successful college teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity in agricultural economics and/or agribusiness. Individuals possessing extensive training in animal science at the M.S. level preferred.
