Clemson University invites applications for Meat Laboratory Manager (#9580) position in the Department of Animal and Veterinary Science (http://www.clemson.edu/cafls/departments/animal_vet_science/). The successful candidate will manage the operation of a meat laboratory by facilitating and participating in the slaughter and processing of meat that is used for research, teaching and extension activities. The responsibilities include conducting daily activities of a state-inspected meat laboratory including slaughter, fabrication and merchandizing of beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, facilitating research projects, and assisting with student hands-on laboratories. The successful candidate needs a B.S. in Animal Science or related field with 5 years of relevant industry experience or M.S. in Animal or Food Science with an emphasis in meat science and relevant industry experience.
