We are currently seeking: Beef Cattle Specialist [5333BR] The position will service Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.
Position Purpose: As a Beef Cattle Specialist in our animal feed division, you will be responsible for profitably increasing the sales volume and market share of feed and associated products to producers in a targeted market area.
You must be able to provide a high level of technical service to customers in the coop and dealer channels.
You will also sell direct in specific assigned markets.
Additional responsibilities are: o Supporting event selling and feeder meetings. o Executing the promotional calendar with dealers and coops. o Monitoring and documenting production and profitability improvements for producers implementing program and production recommendations. o Ensuring the documentation is reviewed with the producer and local cooperative or dealer staff. o Providing technical information and training as requested for coop or dealer employees. o Providing tracking reports on marketing and service activities and management requirements and maintain up to date and accurate client history records. o Maintaining a high level of proficiency and competency in nutrition, production management, and selling skills through recommended training and verified by documented sales results.
Ohio or Indiana would be the desired central location for this position. This is a home office position.
Required (Basic) Education/Experience: o 5+ years of experience in animal nutrition. o Experience in the production of cattle in cow/calf or feedlot. o Daily travel in an assigned geography. o Must be able to lift and carry 50 pound bags of feed as needed. o Demonstrated computer skills.
