FASS-AFIA New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Award

Nominate your colleagues for the presentation of the FASS-AFIA New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Award. The Award has been designed to stimulate, acknowledge, and reward pioneering and innovative research relevant to the nutrition of animals that benefits mankind and the nutritional value of foods from animals. The Award will be presented at the meeting of choice of the Award winner (during the ADSA-ASAS Joint Annual Meeting or PSA Annual Meeting) in the summer of 2011.

Procedures: The submission process has been developed electronically for efficiency. You are not required to make copies of submission materials and send them to me. You are to submit the nominations on the FASS web site: http://www.fass.org/awards.asp. You will find complete instructions and award guidelines there.

Deadline: All nominations must be SUBMITTED on the web no later than May 15, 2011.

Instructions: The guidelines for the FASS-AFIA New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Award are posted at http://www.fass.org/awards.asp. Nominators are encouraged to review the instructions carefully and to follow these guidelines strictly to avoid nomination rejection.

• Nominee must have made an outstanding and innovative contribution to nutrition research concerning animals that benefits mankind and/or the nutritional value of food from animals.
• Nominee must have original research work published.
• Nominee must have been a member of a FASS member society (ADSA, ASAS, or PSA) for at least five (5) consecutive years and currently be a member of such society and in good standing.
• No individual shall receive the Award more than once. Preferably, the Award shall be presented to one individual but may be bestowed to coworkers if deemed advisable by the American Feed Industry Association Award Committee.
