    Marketing and Communications Associate

    The American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) and its services division FASS are seeking a marketing and communications associate to create compelling content and campaigns, assist with various communication channels, and contribute to the overall membership and audience growth and success of ADSA and FASS clients.

    This is a full-time remote position. Compensation is in the $45,000–$55,000 range depending on experience.

    Duties include

    • Providing marketing, website, and writing support for events, webinars, and publications, including newsletters, magazines, and annual reports.
    • Helping develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
    • Supporting association membership retention and growth through recruitment and communications engagement efforts.
    • Assisting with media relations and public relations.
    • Managing content for email, websites, social media channels, podcasts and other digital platforms.
    • Interacting with clients, stakeholders, authors, speakers, and more

    You possess

    • Required: A minimum of two years of experience in marketing, publicity, and communications OR one year of experience in association marketing and communications.
    • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, science, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of marketing and communications principles and best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing platforms, and content management systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Experience in agriculture, science, or non-profit associations preferred.
    • Experience working with sponsorship, non-dues revenue, and sales is a plus.

    FASS Jobs Board

    The FASS Job Resource Center, a common service of FASS members and clients, was created to promote the efficient linking of open positions with scientists, in support of the tax exempt mission of each of the participating societies, to serve and advance the field of animal science and ensure its efficient operation. Members of any one of the FASS clients are provided with the opportunity to notify the scientific community of openings online for a reasonable fee. Nonmembers may also post position announcements online according to a separate fee schedule.

    The cost for posting a position opening is $150 for anyone who is a member of ADSA, AAFCO, AETA, ARPAS, ESS, IETS, ISAG, and NCFAR. This fee includes online announcements.

    Nonmembers may post an announcement online for $250.

    All position announcements must be paid for online using a credit card before the submission will be accepted.
